Kids Clothing With a Message: Be Kind to Yourself, to Others and the Planet

As parents themselves, Lucie and Charlie wanted to create a business with purpose. They are two friends who have made it their mission to spread kindness towards others and they started with their own children. Seeing their kids’ pure joy as they naturally demonstrated random acts of kindness made their purpose clear, and this is the heart and soul on which The Kindness Co-op was built.

The message is simple. Be kind. To yourself, to others and our planet. This ethos threads its way through everything that The Kindness Co-op does from their beautifully made clothing to their range to recycled stationery.

In 2018, the socially responsible brand began offering organic clothing for children and adults featuring inspirational designs. Since then, The Kindness Co-op has grown and now also offers a range of accessories including tote bags, notebooks and badges. The quirky and colourful designs have gained excellent media exposure and been featured in well-known publications such as Psychologies Magazine, Country Life, Top Sante and The Telegraph.

Our personal favourites include this Kids Navy T-shirt with the slogan ‘one of a kind generation’ written as part of a cartoon smiley face. And yes, we are totally on board with parent-child twinning so if you are too, you can pick up an adult version in the same design!

Nobody’s perfect, but as concern about climate change grows, rest assured The Kindness Co-op do everything they can to ensure that they source from ethical suppliers, use organic materials where appropriate, minimise the use of plastics and only use packaging that can easily be recycled. If you’re just as passionate about saving the planet and sharing that message with your kids then you’ll love this Kids Earth T-shirt in grey which bears the slogan ‘be kind to our planet’. The perfect way to introduce an important issue to your little ones in a way that they’ll really connect with.

To wear kindness on your sleeve, we like this Rainbow Grey Sweatshirt for adults. It’s colourful without being too in your face (we need to be eased into those early morning school runs) and is one of their most sought-after designs, brought back by popular demand!

If practically is on your mind, snap up one of these amazing Organic Denim Tote Bags. There’s no slogan here just the trademark neon eyes, so you can get on with your errands whilst knowing you’re supporting a good cause. You can tell that this bag is designed by parents because it’s a big, sturdy bag with good quality handles. Perfect for those ‘I only popped out for some milk’ grocery trips!

The best thing about shopping with The Kindness Co-op is that every purchase means a donation to charity. From the outset, it was important to founders Lucie and Charlie to have a philanthropic element to the brand so they’ve chosen to support YoungMinds by donating a percentage of their profits to the organisation. YoungMinds exists so that young people have the strongest possible voice in improving their mental health. They strive to make sure everything, from Government policy to practice in schools and services, is driven by young people’s experiences and aspirations. They work with parents, children and professionals to support young people in need.
