Millie Bobby Brown and Other Celebs Won’t Let Millennial Pink Go Away

If you thought millennial pink had had its moment, you were wrong. With the onslaught of the powerful #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, millennial pink is very much staying relevant, especially on red carpets as we most recently saw at the SAG Awards. Black is powerful but so is pink and everyone’s new favourite It girl and wise beyond her years fashionista Millie Bobby Brown is the prime example of that. The Stranger Things star wore a super fun pink Calvin Klein sequined high low dress to the ceremony.

Her hair was in classy Princess Leia style matching buns and to top if off paired it with white Converse low top sneakers. Because she is Millie Bobby Brown and age 13 she pulled this look off with extreme confidence. And she wasn’t the only one showing off her love for pink at the SAGs. Marisa Tomei, Dakota Fanning, Uzo Aduba, Margot Robbie, and big winner of the night Saoirse Ronan also wore a Louis Vuitton gown in the chic shade. These outfits should give you some serious Valentine’s Day inspiration.

Even though the new official Pantone colour of the year is Ultra Violet plenty of celebs will not let millennial pink go quietly into the night. Model Hailey Baldwin recently sported a fantastic pink blouse and pants ensemble that she paired with Jennifer Fisher hoops and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Fashion stylist Belle Bakst told HelloGiggles, “Millennial pink is the trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. This instantly lady-like hue is going to continue to grace us for the next couple of seasons due to its femininity and utmost sophistication.”

And if you think millennial pink is disappearing from the food scene, you would also be wrong. Starbucks has a millennial pink latte, it’s just only available in Japan at the moment. You can get some delicious millennial pink Kit-Kats made from ruby chocolate but again, they are only sold in Japan. If you don’t happen to be in Japan any time soon though you can get Chanel’s new  perfume cushion compact in millennial pink. And another perfect gift for Valentine’s Day would be the Le Creuset recently released pink and red ramekins, cast iron cocottes, and small fondue set.
