Wait…What? Former Managing Director Laurie Jones Left Vogue!

After much speculation surrounding Vogue and its most tenured staff, it was confirmed that Managing Director Laurie Jones left the prestigious fashion magazine on Feb 28th.

Since the news broke of Jones leaving the magazine, there have been endless discussions and rumors, with various media outlets claiming that contributing editor André Leon Talley was following suit and leaving on Jones’ coattails. Talley has been with Condé Nast since the 80s and with Anna since her first day at Vogue.

Not only were Jones and Wintour colleagues, but they also shared a long career history together at various magazine publications. Jones initially hired Wintour during her time at New York Magazine, and when Wintour eventually moved to Vogue she brought Jones along as her subordinate.

Will Wintour’s empire continue after losing integral members of her team? We’re holding our breath…
