Two of the most popular and beautiful groups of islands are The Cyclades, south-east of the Greek mainland, and the Ionian islands, on the west coast. For avid ‘grammers, a yacht charter in Greece around these island groups is a dream come true.

The Cyclades
The Cyclades are Greece’s most famous islands, ideal for touring by Cyclades yacht charter. One of the most beautiful is the volcanic Santorini, with its bright, white-washed houses studded with vivid pink bougainvillea, gorgeous views and incredible blue water.

The island of Syros was a former trading centre, and its capital Ermoupoli reflects its 19th century prosperity, boasting breathtaking neoclassical architecture in warm pastel colours.
Further along on your Greek island hopping escape comes the famous Mykonos, a favourite among the jetset. Known as ‘the island of the winds’, it’s also a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, attracting surfers and sailors from around the world. With its cobbled streets and pretty white-washed houses draped in bougainvillea, it is little short of picture-perfect.
The Ionian Islands
Greece benefits from the deepest water in the Mediterranean around the western Ionian islands. They are known for their temperate climate, mountains, lush vegetation, rugged shores and beautiful beaches.
Corfu is the best-known of these islands, with a rich multi-cultural heritage and a beautifully preserved old town, now a UNESCO world heritage site. Instagrammers will love its maze of delightful narrow streets, studded with churches and monuments and with no filter needed!
