Tropical Takeover

Tropical Takeover

After what has seemed like decades, summer finally found its way to London this weekend and it couldn’t be more glorious. However, all this sunshine has left us longing to ditch the office and make our way to a tropical island, all sandy beaches and fruity cocktails. Whilst a quick search on Expedia and a mounting pile of work dashed our dreams of a quick escape to Hawaii, you can indulge in a touch of the tropics with one of summer’s top trends, Tropical Takeover.

Erase from your memory any flashbacks of aging uncles wearing horrific Hawaiian print shirts; this trend has been updated from faded to fabulous! This season has been all about printed trousers and this fun leafy print offers a refreshing change from all the geometrics that have been floating around. Just add a plain white tee and a pair of aviators and you have the perfect off duty look. If you want to smarten things up a little, this white blouse with a peach palm tree print would be just perfect, dressed up with a tight little pencil skirt and coral pumps or dressed down with light denim and a pair of white wedges. Printed blazers are another great way to add a pop of print to a plain outfit, keep everything else simple and let the print do the talking or add a touch of the tropics to a work wear outfit with a colourful printed scarf.
