No Bathroom is Complete Without a Set of Luxury Towels

Towels are the finishing touch to every bathroom, taking a drab and dreary corner of the home and transforming it into something extra special. Choosing towels to suit your needs might seem obvious, but considering we use them every single day investing in quality pieces is something that shouldn’t be avoided.

If you have a family, you’ll want a variety of sizes in practical colours which can withstand multiple washes in their lifetime. Maybe you have a lot of guests and need to cater for kids, family members or friends who stay regularly. Creating the perfect guest bathroom is something that takes a little forethought, but something simple like luxury towels can make your guest’s stay truly memorable. You might even want to decorate open shelving with a variety of coloured towels, rotating and changing designs as the decor and seasons change.

For all your luxury towel needs, Orla Kiely has recently joined forces with British fabrics powerhouse Ashley Wilde to create a new collection of distinctly Orla Kiely printed fabrics. Featuring the Linear Stem, Abacus Flower, Seventies Oval Flower and the signature Multi Stem print amongst many other iconic patterns. Printed on classic 100% cotton canvas, in her distinctive palette of warm dandelion, Seagrass, orange, olive, cool greys, moss, powder blues and dark marine.

This collection is designed to inspire our customers to create and bring the Orla Kiely world to their home.

This stylish collection is made up of deep pile woven jacquard towels and luxurious pure cotton sculpted towels. It features six designs including many of Orla’s signature prints in an instantly recognisable palette.

For the ultimate hero towel from the range, you have to choose the Multi Stem Classic. This design is synonymous with Orla Kiely and looks almost too good to use! It would look stunning hanging over a towel rail on it’s own, or displayed alongside your whole collection on an effortlessly cool freestanding ladder.

This Duet design in Pale Rose is an unusual interpretation featuring two human figures instead of Kiely’s usual nature inspired prints. This pink shade is right on trend and would look lush set against a marble worktop and bright white tiles.

Compliment the pretty pink with a carefully placed grey mirror and go all out with an up-cycled pink dresser.

The Owl print is an essential for any nature enthusiast and will add a little happiness to bath time in any household. This marine edition is a gorgeous shade of blue which is easy to keep clean and can be used by all the family. For a brighter look the papaya version is a great option too.

For a natural themed bathroom, we adore these Spot Sculpted Flower towels in the shade clay. The simple flower pattern is understated and the colour lends itself to a variety of styles old and new. We think these would fit in seamlessly with natural textures such as wood, marble and rattan. These good quality towels will become an everyday staple and last for years to come.

For a monochrome look the Large Stem Stripe in grey is a gorgeous option. Simple, sleek and classy this design is a great everyday towel and adds style to an otherwise basic bathroom set up.

Acorn Cup in Dandelion is a wonderful mustard yellow shade, the perfect pop of colour to bathroom in need of a little oomph.

In a larger space stack up a mixture of these and the Light Granite edition in a wicker hamper for guests to grab as required.

Don’t neglect to take extra good care of your towels once you get them home. You should wash them before use to help set the colour and improve absorbency. However, you should avoid the use of fabric softeners as a build up of soapy residue is what makes towels go stiff.

Over time you can remove soap build-up by washing them on a hot setting and then a cool drying setting to bring back fluffiness if required.

The must-have designer range is available in facecloths, hand towels, bath towels, bath sheets and mats and prices start from £4.00. All towels weigh 550 GSM which is a medium weight towel that’s good for everyday use and the beach.
