Twilight Tea at London Hilton on Park Lane

London Hilton on Park Lane launches an Evening Tea with luxury cosmetic brand Kiehl’s

From 6th November to 3rd December 2017, London Hilton on Park Lane is hosting a Signature Evening Tea in collaboration with premium cosmetic brand Kiehl’s, available Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 5pm to 9pm from £39

After a long day strolling the streets of London or simply a tough day at the office, is there really a better way to unwind and recover than enjoying the sun going down over the city whilst sipping on a cup of warming tea at the prestigious Hilton Park Lane? We think not.

Offering a reason to rejoice this festive season, The Twilight Tea (the very first of its kind) is an opportunity to experience a true British classic even after the sun has set. A brilliant take on the traditional Afternoon Tea, if you ask us. Restore energy in elegant surroundings, while munching on freshly prepared sandwiches and comforting sweets.

The Executive Chef Anthony Marshall at the glamorous Restaurant Podium, located next to the lobby at the Hilton Park Lane, has brilliantly created a modern version of the British afternoon tea time, by mixing the classic selection of tantalising sandwiches along with innovative, mouth-watering pastries presented on a multi-tiered cake stand.

Anthony said: “We look forward to welcoming guests to experience an exciting, new evening tea at Podium. We’ve exclusively partnered with Kiehl’s to offer a perfect restorative interlude after work and before bedtime where guests can sit back, and enjoy a perfect end to the day whilst enjoying our delicately crafted treats.”

The team at YCB Magazine were invited to sit down to have our very own taste of the Twilight Tea at the Hilton Park Lane last week. To start with, the Tea featured five beautiful miniature sandwiches: including the all-time favourite; smoked salmon with horseradish cream on malted seed bread, and the coronation curry chicken on a ciabatta bloomer (delish!). Followed by the very impressive multi-tiered cake stand serving perfectly fluffy scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Accompanied by a layer of stunning pastries, such as the lemon meringue cup and the orange and chocolate tart, we were left feeling satisfied in a light yet pleasant way.

Guests can enjoy a range of the finest blend teas from Twining’s, carefully selected to compliment the nibbles. Such as “The Full English”; a true classic, with a well-rounded flavour best enjoyed paired with milk. Or perhaps the more contemporary “Apple & Elderflower Green Tea” where the east delicately meets the west. Upon our visit, we were greeted with a dose of indulgence, in other words, a glass of the crispy Pommery Champagne making it, all in all, a very magical setting to enjoy our Monday evening.

The Twilight Tea was launched to create a tranquil setting where visitors can restore energy, transporting them away from the hustle and bustle of the city that is London. Creating a peaceful oasis, the Twilight Tea is attracting hardworking businesswomen who are looking to enjoy a night with bffs or where the visiting traveller can wind-down after a long working day.

The hotel will not only offer delicious nibbles and warming tea, but will treat guests with a complementary sample of the best seller “Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil”. A replenishing elixir of pure essential oil created to restore the appearance of the skin visibly by the next morning.

Located in the heart of Mayfair, and official hotel for the London Olympics 2012, London Hilton on Park Lane boasts 453 guest rooms and 56 suites, with stunning views over Hyde Park and the London cityscape. From West End theatres and world famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the hotel’s close proximity to Hyde Park and Green Park underground stations make it the perfect base from which to explore.

The Signature Evening Tea is priced at £39.00 per person. Alternatively, upgrade to a Royal Tea which includes a glass of Pommery Champagne for £49.00, and is available from 6th  November until 3rd December 2017, from Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 5pm to 9pm.
