The Royal Baby is officially here: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy!
Can you hear the bells? The news came out last night, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a beautiful baby boy! Hurray, hurray, hurray! Weighing eight pounds and six ounces, the baby was safely delivered yesterday, July 22 at 4:24pm. The Royal baby boy has made Kate and William two happy parents!
After the palace announced the amazing news, the baby’s basic information was soon posted on the golden easel outside Buckingham Palace. Kate and William are due to leave the hospital with the prince today, July 23 at 6 PM.
Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, was of course present for the birth. Whilst The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families were informed and delighted with the news of their new family addition!
Crowds of well-wishers gathered in front of Buckingham Palace and St. Mary’s Hospital for hours before and after the announcement in anticipation for updates and in the hope of catching a glimpse of the Royal baby.
The couple have released their first official statement thanking the hospital, staff, patients and visitors. “We would like to thank the staff at the Lindo Wing and the whole hospital for the tremendous care the three of us have received.”
Here at Your Coffee Break, we are waiting with excitement for any news on the baby’s name. What we do know is that the baby is third in line for Succession after His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge. So, The Royal baby’s name will be styled His Royal Highness Prince [name] of Cambridge.
David Cameron declared the birth “an important moment in the life of our nation.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. It seems the Royal baby has become a new family addition to the entire country! And we welcome it with open arms! Now the world is eagerly waiting the first glimpse of England’s new prince.
