Do we sense a pink bridal trend coming on? First with Anne Hathaway walking down the aisle in a pink dip-hem wedding gown and now with Jessica Biel wedding Justin Timberlake in a candy-pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown, Hollywood’s favorite starlets have been opting to wear pink rather than white on their big day.
“You know how hard it is to choose the dress… But what it came down to is I really just wanted it to be romantic and different” Biel said about choosing her gown for her October 19th Italian wedding. “I wanted to feel like it was really me. I actually surprised myself when I chose the dress. It wasn’t something I was expecting to choose.”
While her veil was embellished with pearls from her grandmother’s wedding tiara, Biel’s custom designed Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown featured a strapless silk mousseline and silk organza with a pink floral motif. So what finally made up her mind? “I think really, I wanted it to be romance romance romance; kind of whimsical and dramatic. And it’s very feminine and fun. It’s a style I will never really wear ever again. Something I’ll only ever wear on that one day.”
