Emerging Talents Win LFW Spot!

Every year the British Fashion Council selects the brightest emerging talents to receive a sponsorship from BFC NEWGEN as well as a place at London Fashion Week, and this year’s winners have finally been announced!

The selection panel, including BFC Ambassador Sarah Mower, Vogue Market Editor Emma Elwick-Bates, Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan, as well as other editorial team members, searched for individuals that not only had impeccable and unique designs, but also fashion business savvy and willingness to learn.

“This season’s winners are a snapshot of what London is now – a varied group of vivid individualists, from many countries. They’re a brilliant reflection of the energy of a city which enables so many talents to settle and shine,” said Sarah Mower MBE, BFC’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent.

Along with sponsorship from Topshop, the lucky winners (below) will get to show during London Fashion Week in February 2013 to show off their eye for design for the Autumn/ Winter 2013 season.

Founded in 1993, NEWGEN is one of the most globally famous and well established talent identification competitions. 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the program and the 10th year of Topshop’s involvement.
