Revive Your Skin & Hair with Natural Italian Ingredients from Olyve Beauty

We’ve all heard of the marvels of the Mediterranean diet. Arguably one of the healthiest in the world, it’s a diet filled with fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients that contribute to a myriad of health benefits as well as being said to give a supple glow to the skin and a luscious shine to the hair.

When we think of the Mediterranean diet, there’s one specific ingredient that may jump to mind. That is, of course, olives. Drizzled on top in oil form or added for a meaty hit of flavour to salads and pasta dishes, olives are synonymous with Mediterranean menus. And it doesn’t stop there. This anti-inflammatory ingredient, rich in antioxidants and healthy fats, now has a use that goes beyond our Italian cookbooks. Introducing Olyve Beauty, the latest brand on our radar that uses natural, Italian olive leaves- all for our beauty benefits.

If there’s one thing we value here at YCB Magazine, it’s knowing and trusting exactly what we’re applying to our skin and hair. Gone are the days of adding layers of scientific-sounding formulas to our regimes, just because TikTok told us to. Our delicate strands and surfaces are both far too precious to risk damage from questionable ingredients that might work for some, but be detrimental to another.

Luckily, with a natural, vegan brand such as Olyve Beauty, you can rest assured that you are in safe hands. Their hair and skin products are based on olive leaves that come from Nocellara del Belice trees, a native Sicilian olive tree that’s one of the most sought-after varieties in the world. These leaves contain oleuropein, an anti-aging ingredient that fights free radicals, and in turn, works to completely revive the hair and skin.

The brand’s founder, Sahara Seidita, is originally from Sicily, Italy, and grew up amongst a beautiful natural landscape with 15000 olive trees. Olive oil production and distribution has been her family’s business since 1922, and this has inspired Sahara to create a solution for the waste involved in the process, while also solving our skin’s primary problem- dehydration. Sahara learned the many beneficial properties of olive trees and left her corporate life behind her to focus all of her efforts into launching a beauty range. This range would be no ordinary line of products but instead would provide the utmost nutrition and care through the natural power of olive trees, all whilst being sustainable and vegan. Her mission was (and still is) to make people’s bodies and hair healthily beautiful and so, Olyve Beauty was born.

There are currently two products in the range: Beauty Food Body, and Beauty Food Hair.

Beauty Food Body is a luscious yet light cream that is best used lathered all over, post-shower. Our tip is to apply it whilst the skin is still damp, so you’re locking in all of the moisture that’s already sitting on your skin’s surface.

What’s more- don’t wipe away any leftovers! Massage it into the hands and neck for supple, quenched skin from head to toe. As mentioned, the anti-oxidising olive derivatives in this product also help to fight free radicals and skin ageing, and the pure ingredients used means that this dreamy moisturiser is suitable for the most sensitive of skin.

Next, we have Beauty Food Hair, a re-energising mask for all kinds of hair, from dry and damaged to thick and oily. This smooth, rich treatment is best applied to the lengths of damp hair.

We like to massage it in and leave it for about 10 minutes as part of a pampering self-care evening. Once it has worked its magic, rinse it all away with warm water, dry the hair, and notice instant results, with the ends feeling soft and nourished. The potent, natural ingredients help to fortify and re-energise the hair all whilst fighting free radicals and ageing. This hero product is entirely safe for sensitive skin and can also be applied on the scalp. Use in place of your conditioner once or twice a week, and you will soon be en route to supple, revived strands!

In conclusion, if the UK’s harsh weather conditions are wreaking havoc on your skin and hair, simply add a dash of Italy to your regime. Nourish yourself with natural, Italian ingredients and boast that Mediterranean-inspired hydrated, supple glow.
