Summer Wedding hairstyles from Leo Bancroft

Your Coffee Break’s resident hairstyle guru Leo Bancroft shares his tips for Summer Wedding hairstyles:

Perfect Plaits

Plaits, knots and braids were all over the spring/summer 2012 Catwalks. Not only do they look fab but are super easy to re-create. Moschino created milkmaid style plaits wrapped around the head whereas Peter Pilotto created sleek plaits at the crown that looked like headpieces. Then there was also messy fishtail plaits. Plaits are the easiest to re-create and with so many variations to choose from it is the perfect easy summer hairstyle.

Beach hair turned glamorous

Beach hair is the perfect wedding guest hairstyle for this summer. Where it was previously a go-to beach hairstyle, it has now become the hairstyle of the catwalks and red-carpets. Sported on the Calvin Clien catwalk and by celebs such as Gisele, Beyoncé, and the entire Victoria Secret Angels, what more reason do you need than to sport this sexy summer hairstyle to your next wedding bash.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend

The easiest way to jazz up your summer hair this summer is by adding a little glitz. Chanel demonstrated this perfectly with this years catwalk models sporting pearl-strewn hair, pulled into elegant wet-look chignons at the nape of the neck. Louis Vuitton’s models were topped with sparkly tiaras and Chanel models had ponies secured with over-sized bows. To re-create this weave ribbons and leather string through plaits or wear flower headbands for a hippy feel.

Super sleek & sexy

The super sleek, wet look pony tail is back to prove it’s not just a one-season wonder. The style can be worn at the crown for a high impact look or at the nape of the neck for a more easy going style. Nicole  Farhi, amongst others showcased this sophisticated look, so with a hair band and some good hair gel you too can show off this sizzling summer style.
