Les Miserables premieres have been tearing up the red carpet lately and while Anne Hathaway has taken a liking to weirdly winged gowns and bondage heels, Amanda has stolen the style spotlight… and this week’s New York premiere was no exception.
The 27-year-old actress made a statement at NYC’s Ziegfeld Theatre in an ornate Alexander McQueen gown, a tight braid and sexy winged liner. The dress featured a detailed gold bodice and a simple black train, with an edgy tortoiseshell belt pulling the whole outfit together.
In a bold move, Amanda matched her hair and make-up to her dramatic frock, opting for a severe updo and exaggerated cat’s eyes. The slick oversized bun accentuates the embroidered bustier, while the OTT liner shows us a little of Amanda’s dark side. Don’t be afraid to try something similar – add some punch to your regular outfits with a wet-look pony and berry lips, or a tight topknot and classic smoky eyes. Phwoar!
