Celebrities are Raving about this Game Changing £10 High Street Shine Lipstick

Looking for make-up that not only enhances appearance but also promotes healthy skin? It seems you’re not alone, with searches for ‘makeup that’s good for skin’ soaring by over 650% in the past year. For those dedicated to skincare, the solution can be found in Avon’s new multi-benefit range, Make-Up+Care.

The innovative collection blurs the line between make-up and skincare. You’ve probably already heard of the viral Hydramatic Matte lipstick as the world’s first matte lipstick to feature a hydrating hyaluronic core, but the collection also includes a 3-in-1 serum foundation and new Hydramatic Shine lipstick.

Available in 15 luscious shades, celebrity fans are raving about the new lightweight £10 Hydramatic Shine Lipstick which has more than 50% hydrating and skin-protecting ingredients, providing consumers with instant fullness, alongside a mirror like shine.

An impressive 8/10 shoppers said the Hydramatic Shine Lipstick feels more hydrating than the lipstick they use most often, ‘lasts all day, and is pure luxury for your lips.’

Love Island’s Amy Hart is a fan “I’m looking to get my skin nice for the wedding, so the shine lipstick with the hyaluronic core is just what I need, also it’s perfect as my lips get so dry in the winter!”

When it comes to matte lip products especially, many people find these drying and uncomfortable to wear. Which is why consumers are also obsessed with the game changing Hydramatic Matte Lipstick, the world’s first matte lipstick with hydrating hyaluronic core, giving you the matte finish you want, with the hydration your lips need.

Former Miss GB and Big Brother star, Noki Simbani is a big fan of the lipsticks, “I’m obsessed with keeping my lips hydrated, so to have that feeling with a matte lipstick on is so nice. How amazing is it to have makeup that actually looks good, feels good, and is good for you.”

With make-up looks such as retro ombre lips and dewy skin currently trending on TikTok, below make-up artist, Tom Fraser shares his tips on how to achieve some of the latest trends alongside the perfect lipstick and outfit colour pairings for Spring/Summer 2024;

Perfect your base
With dewy skin expected to dominate the scene this spring/summer, smooth the 3-in-1 serum foundation on with a tapered brush for a precise application or use a slightly damp sponge. This will give the appearance of ‘dewy’ skin.

Go light in the middle
Ombre lips had their moment in the early 2010s, however, thanks to TikTok they’re making a comeback. To achieve the perfect ombre lip, once your dark outer lip liner has dried, apply a lighter shade to the centre, blending outwards with your finger. This will create a smooth blend that adds a ‘pop’ to your lips.

Fix your edges
Use a concealer or your favourite hydrating foundation to fix smudges, using a concealer around the outside of your lips can also help your lipstick to stand out.

Highlight your cupid’s bow
A secret hack to make your lips appear instantly fuller which, when teamed with ombre lips, can give a seriously plumped-up look! Make sure that when you line your lips you draw a sharp edge around your cupid’s bow to give the perfect finish.

Matching your lipstick to your outfits

Whites, pastel pinks, blues, lilacs, oranges, and reds were key colours from the spring/summer 2024 runways. If you’re wearing blue, soft nude or rose-pink lips work well. If you’re wearing white, you can make a statement with your lip – think coral and hot pink. If you’re wearing red, you may be tempted to opt for a red lip, but colour-matching your outfit can be hard. Instead, pair the outfit with a nude or bronzy pink lip. For orange outfits, try nude, pink and peach lipsticks. Or, if you want to really pop, try red.

Application tricks

Swipe on your lipstick in your favourite shade. Start with your bottom lip first, and then press your lips together to gradually spread the colour to your upper lip before filling any gaps, being careful not to extend beyond the lip line.
