Relish the time you spend together this Valentine’s Day at luxury Grade II listed Great Northern Hotel by indulging in a decadent evening of live jazz and delicious food at RAILS Restaurant & Little Bar.
Start the evening with a complimentary glass of crisp Simpsons Canterbury Rose sparkling rosé to get into the Valentine’s spirit and enjoy from 7pm the soft, dulcet tunes of the Rocca Brother’s Jazz Vocal Trio. With brothers Joel and Ben on saxophone and keyboard, accompanied by singer Patricia Elizabeth, guests can revel in jazz classics from legendary crooners Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Amy Winehouse.
Against the backdrop of the silky vocals and toe-tapping jazz, guests can choose from an impressive array of decadent starters including lobster thermidor tart; venison carpaccio with Spenwood cheese; and burrata with pink radicchio, pomegranate and grilled chilli, followed by a palette cleanser of Campari Granita.
Must-try mains include grilled fillet steak with potato Anna and parsnip croquettes or seared stone bass with coastal greens, saffron, clams and winter tomatoes before a choice of indulgent desserts such as a sweet strawberry champagne mousse; white chocolate and rhubarb tart with pink meringue; or a red velvet heart-shaped cheesecake, all followed by macarons.
The set menu is priced at £69 per person for three courses of seasonal fare.
