It has been a tremendous year for Anne Hathaway. Among many things, the actress got married to her beau Adam Shulman, landed a phenomenal role in the acclaimed cinematographic rendition of Les Miserables, and had several show-stopping sartorial moments on the red carpet. After such a fantastic year, it was only natural for the actress to celebrate the start of 2013 with a bang!
On December 31st, Anne and her husband joined Valentino and his long term partner Giancarlo Giammetti at a ski resort in Switzerland. Madonna also attended the party, bringing her daughter Lourdes along.
The party was held in the luxurious members-only Eagle Ski Club and Valentino reportedly spent 500,000 euros on fireworks, caviar and champagne for his lavish NYE bash. During the day, Anne was spotted walking around arm-in-arm with Valentino and his partner, all looking their stylish and impeccable selves.
Valentino and Anne have a close personal relationship, but they have also worked together a great deal. Since their work together on the Devil Wears Prada, Valentino has designed several of Anne’s stunning red carpet looks, and perhaps most importantly, her incredible wedding dress. The custom Valentino creation was an incredible partially pink strapless ivory silk point d’esprit tulle dress with a 1920s-inspired lace veil, adorned with crystal beads.
