Another crucial tip is to stay active, even if you’re not in a gym. Walking, for instance, is a great way to keep moving while also exploring your holiday destination. Whether you’re sightseeing, hiking, or simply strolling along a beach, walking is a wonderful way to stay active without the need for structured exercise. “Walking gives you a chance to intimately connect with your surroundings and also burns calories without feeling like you’re exercising,” Steven says. So, instead of taking a taxi or relying on public transport, try walking or biking to your sightseeing spots.
When it comes to food, hotel buffets are often a tempting part of the holiday experience, but they can also be a diet downfall. Steven advises making smart choices when dining. “Opt for healthier breakfast options like eggs, omelettes with vegetables, Greek yogurt with berries, and avocado for healthy fats,” he suggests.
These options provide nourishment while helping you feel full and satisfied throughout the morning. On the other hand, steer clear of high-calorie items like pastries, sugary cereals, and fruit juices, which can quickly add unnecessary calories.

Here, Steven recommends choosing red wine over other alcoholic beverages and drinking water between alcoholic drinks to stay hydrated and pace yourself.
