I’m the Editor at YCB (and a Mum) & I Can’t Stop Buying these Colourful Clothes from Smafolk

December 11, 2025

Like many women, I’ve always been partial to the thrill of shopping for new outfits. However, when I became a mum, it’s safe to say that my wardrobe took a back seat. The excitement of buying new outfits for myself shifted to dressing my little girl in cute styles. Now, the joy of selecting adorable clothes for my daughter is what fills my heart. And I have to say, especially so during the Christmas season. While it can be fun to find new wardrobe items at H&M for my little girl, I want to get my hands on those pieces that not all of her friends in kindergarten will wear during the same season. Updating her wardrobe with adorable, comfy outfits that are unique to her personality and style is what I cherish when shopping for new kids’ clothing. So it’s safe to say that individuality, quality, and comfort are some of the top priorities when shopping for her- getting my hands on clothes that not only look lovely, but are built to last. And that’s where online shopping comes in- it’s really such a wonderful thing. Coming across a new brand that designs quality clothing that is comfortable to wear whilst inspiring your child’s imagination and creativity.

Småfolk is such a brand- that I love to recommend. And I am happy that there are now plenty of items from Smafolk in Celia’s wardrobe. They are a brand that really gets what parents are looking for- clothes that the children can live and play in.

Småfolk is known for their colorful and quirky universe, where the children are the focus. Children love colourful clothing and fun prints – and so do parents! Their clothes are made in wonderful colours and they always stock a large selection of different prints in their collections. Parents, and children can easily find their favourite print, whether the child loves flowers, cats or dinosaurs.

Småfolk was founded in Denmark in 2005 and has since become an internationally recognized brand, with dealers all over the world. They make clothing in organic materials and an important part of their DNA is their unique prints, designed and drawn by their in-house designers themselves, with inspiration from children. What’s also important to our little family is that their products are Oeko-Tex certified, so that parents can be sure that the clothes are safe, skin-friendly and not harmful for children to wear. What’s not to love?

If you’re after a last-minute something for Christmas, or want to upgrade your child’s wardrobe ahead of the new year, we give you our favourite picks from the Småfolk collection below.
