The Miracle Worker Facial for Winter Skin

The Miracle Worker Facial for Winter Skin

February 12, 2026

We’ve survived January, and the end of winter is in sight. Having said this, we still have a long way to go until our complexions are sporting a sun-kissed glow or at the very least, no longer curbed by “the winter uglies”. And so, I find myself hopping on the tube to Dr Yusra’s London Clinic on a dismal Tuesday afternoon to take matters into my own hands.

“It’s gentle enough for you to go about your life the next day but at the same time it’s effective enough to give you that glow”. That’s how Dr. Doa describes the treatment in store. This is music to my ears, as I lack the bravery to go out and about with the mosquito-bite swells of polynucleotides. Dr. Doa is a highly skilled clinician with a deep understanding of facial anatomy, honed through her Dental Surgery degree from King’s College London. With years of experience in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Doa has developed a special focus on advanced skin care and device-led treatments, one such example being T-Face, which I’m here to try.

This new innovative facial combines 7 key technologies to target well, pretty much any skin concern one can have. With the results of my skin analysis taken from a high-definition camera moments beforehand, Dr Doa begins to tackle my complexion needs on a deep level.

1. Step One: The Hydrojet

After a quick cleanse, we start with the first of the seven technologies- the hydrojet. This tool cleanses and stimulates cell regeneration with a jet of water enriched with hyaluronic, mandelic and salicylic acid drawn from the machine’s reservoirs. This is combined with a satisfying suction to deeply cleanse the pores, called aquapeeling.

2. Step Two: The Vacuum Abraser

With a somewhat more aggressive suction, the Vacuum Abraser comes next to perform a deep peel with its diamond powder surface. This step is great for scars or stretch marks, thinning them from the first session. It gently removes the most superficial layer to remove imperfections, achieving smooth, even and firm skin, and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

3. Step Three: Ultrasound

With my pores open and skin squeaky clean, it’s time to get to work. Dr. Doa reveals 11 potion-like solutions from the Baldon range, each with a very high concentration of active ingredients concocted to fight various imperfections, from hair loss strengthening to lip contour firmness, as well as the usual concerns such as dark circles, anti-aging and anti-redness.

We opt for the lip contour, anti-pollution (to counter-act my tube journey) and dark-circle solutions. Dr. Yusra applies each one with a tool that uses ultrasound technology to increase the penetration of the actives deep into the skin.

4. Step Four: Mesospheres

While my skin devours all of the ingredients to achieve a bright, glowy complexion, it’s time to sculpt and tone. The next technology uses rotating spheres which generate a vibrational massage that range from therapeutic to effective with an adjustable speed to treat under-chin fat and puffiness. Almost like a next-level gua-sha.

5. Step 5: Ion Flow

Then comes the ion flow technology, a pen-like tool that reduces the colour of dark spots, stimulates the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, elastin and other proteins that keep the skin toned, smooth and youngful.

6. Step 6: Roller Microfractional Radiofrequency

At this point, my skin is tingling in the kind of way that promises great results. However, the facial is far from finished. Microfractional radiofrequency comes next, with miniature needles being rolled over the skin to penetrate the solutions applied to the skin whilst stimulating tissue regeneration, a regeneration that can be intensified if the fractional radio frequency function is also activated: each needle becomes a radio frequency emitter.

7. Step 7: Photobio Stimulation Dome

Finally, the hour of intensity ends with a calming ten minutes spent underneath photostimulating lighting. Dr Doa compares it to the red-light masks we often see plastered on our social feeds, except this dome has more than 350 LEDs bulbs, and can be selected in 7 different colours and wavelengths, each with its own different effectiveness on the skin. We decided on a stint under the red for stimulation, followed by a yellow light for anti-wrinkle and defence.

By the treatment’s end, Dr. Doa explains that “everything we use, we do a lot of research on to make sure it’s something that is super effective, the best in the market.” Leaving with my skin plump, toned, and undeniably glowy, I can attest to that.

Prices for this treatment start at £100 per treatment, and given it is somewhat of a miracle worker, I would consider that the bargain of a century. Try it yourself at Dr. Yusra’s clinics in London, Manchester, or Liverpool.
