Buy These 5 Fashion Brands, Your Wardrobe Will Thank You

August 5, 2025

Who says investing has to be a boring thing? Your wardrobe could use a little love, too, and benefit your finances in the long term. And according to online fashion platform endource, the five fashion brands, Loewe, Alexander McQueen, Reformation, Maje and Miu Miu consistently resell at over 50% of their original retail price, making them strong pretty strong investment pieces. The team at endource analysed Google Trends data of these brands over the past five years to determine which brands are gaining vs. declining in popularity, and the results may surprise you. They also spoke exclusively with renowned luxury designer and vintage expert James Constantinou to explore the growing intersection of fashion and smart investing.

James said, “Watches, jewellery, bags and clothes from coveted brands really hold their value on the secondary market, especially nostalgic vintage pieces that are consistently growing in value. In fact, many designer handbags increase in price by 7% each year. It is an easy way to invest while enjoying the pieces you buy for yourself for some time before selling, not to mention buying rare, nostalgic, and popular items can bring in lots of money and be a fun hobby, too.”

These are the five fashion brands to buy now if you want to invest in your wardrobe, not the stock market.

1. Loewe

Spanish brand Loewe has been on an upward trajectory over the past five years, with searches for the brand peaking in interest every fashion week. Right now, search interest for Loewe is at its peak, suggesting it’s worth holding on to your pieces, as recent products have retained over 60% of value. In fact, rarer pieces from collaborations can go for even more, like this Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza sunglasses on Relove.

According to Martina Cherry, fashion expert at endource, Loewe is a brand that’s going to retain value in the future.

“Loewe is renowned for its art-inspired shows, and its famous Puzzle Bag has remained popular amongst fashion enthusiasts and celebrities. The reason the puzzle bag retains value and is a staple in so many wardrobes is because of its beautiful simplicity with a contemporary twist. Now would be a good time to sell your Loewe leather pieces, but I think keeping them in your wardrobe for years to come is a much smarter investment.”

2. Miu Miu

Miu Miu is a high-fashion brand renowned for styling models both on and off the runway. According to data, Google searches for the brand have risen over the past 5 years, showing its popularity is only growing stronger. Right now is a great time to invest in pieces from the Italian fashion house, as the last few pieces on Relove have retained 54% of their original price.

According to Martina, “Miu Miu has been a highlight of fashion week for years. Their playful and contemporary take on preppy styles are worn by A-listers and fashion lovers alike, which makes Miu Miu a worthy brand to invest in. The upward trajectory that Miu Miu is on gives us good reason to suggest that the brand is going to retain its resale value in the future.”

3. Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen is a British brand founded by the late namesake designer. According to data, searches for the brand are plateauing and following a downward trajectory. However, according to Relove, pieces from Alexander McQueen are likely to go for 68% or above of their RRP, with one pair of trainers recently selling for 82% of their RRP, suggesting that although the brand is decreasing in popularity over time, it’s still likely to retain value.

According to Martina, this is because of the iconic designer behind the brand.

“Alexander McQueen was an iconic working-class designer, renowned for his dramatic designs and skull-print neck scarves. Pieces from his collections in the 90s and 2000s are likely to retain, if not increase in value over time, thanks to their priceless nature.”

4. Reformation

Reformation has taken over the world thanks to its selection of timeless, sustainable pieces. According to recent data, Google searches for Reformation are steadily rising over time, with slight peaks in summer and winter that most likely coincide with wedding and party season. Recent Reformation products sold on the second-hand platform Relove suggest that pieces currently hold 63% of their value.

Martina says that “Reformation is a relatively new brand that only went online back in 2013, so it’s difficult to predict the value it’s going to retain over the years to come. However, its sustainable, simplistic pieces are extremely timeless and will never go out of style, so even if you’re not reselling your pieces for more than you paid, they will stand the test of time.”

5. Maje

Maje is a premium French fashion brand known for its chic collections. According to search data, the brand has remained stable over the past five years, which explains why its pieces retain at least 44% of their value when resold online. They have peaked slightly in 2025, which suggests that the brand is on the rise, which could make it a good time to sell your pieces.

According to Martina, “Maje is a gorgeous French brand that perfectly encapsulates the Parisian woman. Think floaty, feminine pieces and chic silhouettes. The brand has remained a staple for those with a chic, contemporary style.”
