Ellie Goulding Becomes the ‘Voice of Mother Nature’ for WWF
Singer Ellie Goulding is marking a deeply personal chapter in her life by lending her voice in a new way – as the first ever ‘Voice of Mother Nature’ for nature charity WWF. The singer has collaborated with WWF – of which she has been an ambassador since 2022 – on the launch of its new sonic identity, designed to represent our living planet, a living ecosystem.

The sonic logo, co-created with MassiveMusic, brings together the sounds of wildlife, the elements and humans – with Goulding’s soaring vocal line at the heart, acting as a rallying call for the natural world.
The melody Goulding sings is rooted in nature itself. And to create the sound, WWF and MassiveMusic worked with a biophilic composer who recorded the bioelectric signals of bamboo – the panda’s main food source – and then translated those natural patterns into music. That melody now forms the heart of the new sound.
“When WWF approached me with the idea of giving a voice to Mother Nature – bringing humans, wildlife and the elements together – it felt incredibly powerful,” Ellie said.
“This isn’t just a sound – it’s a call to protect what we love and a reminder that Mother Nature is alive, responsive and connected to us, and I’m honoured to help give voice to something that so often goes unheard.”
Launched on Mother’s Day, the collaboration highlights the shared instinct at the heart of both motherhood and conservation: to protect our world for future generations.
Mel Fenwick, Head of Brand at WWF, said: “Having Ellie Goulding lend her voice to this project makes the connection between us and nature incredibly powerful. Ellie has long been passionate about the environment, and, as a mother herself, her voice brings a deeply personal and emotional dimension to the idea of Mother Nature. Together, we hope this sound reminds people that nature is alive – and that protecting it matters to all of us.”
