Oscars 2026: Jewellery Expert Breaks Down the Most Iconic Looks and Pieces
This past weekend’s Oscars ceremony and red carpet didn’t fall short of its usual suite of striking looks, impeccable outfits, and scintillating jewellery. Now that the fun of speculating over who will win is over, we can have a closer look at some of the striking statement pieces of jewellery worn by the A-listers Sunday evening. From Kate Hudson’s Garatti diamond suite to Shaboozey’s 18 carat Chopard watch, this year’s red carpet did not disappoint.
With this in mind, we spoke with Jonathan Pratt, jewellery expert and managing director at Dawsons Auctioneers, who goes over the most dazzling pieces of jewellery from this year’s Academy Awards ceremony, using his expert eyes to analyse and value them.
1. Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson wore a custom Garatti green-diamond suite, led by a necklace centred on a 16-carat fancy green diamond and complemented by green-diamond earrings and rings. The rare green diamonds were reported at more than 41 carats in total, with the suite valued at about $35 million. Natural green diamonds are among the rarest diamond colours; the green hue is caused by natural radiation exposure in the earth over immense geological time.
2. Teyena Taylor

Tiffany & Co. “Shooting Star” necklace was selected by Teyana Taylor for this year’s gala. Tiffany’s “Shooting Star” necklace from Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Céleste, inspired by Jean Schlumberger, set with 857 round brilliants of over 60 carats in total, 140 baguette diamonds of over 9 total carats, and a D-colour internally flawless emerald-cut detachable diamond of over 18 carats that can also be worn as a ring. Tiffany says it took about 1,500 hours to craft. The retail price is not public.
The retail value is likely over £2 million.
3. Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway wore Bvlgari’s Neoclassical Starlight high-jewellery necklace from the forthcoming Eclettica collection, centred on a detachable 8.02-carat pear-cut Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond and set with more than 35 carats of additional diamonds. The necklace was reported to have taken over 850 hours to make. Press coverage tied the design language to Antonio Canova and Neoclassical sculpture. Bvlgari lists Hathaway as a global ambassador. This would probably cost £1.5-£2m to replace.
4. Chase Infiniti

Chase Infiniti wore De Beers’ ‘Summer’ choker from the Metamorphosis 2023 Couture Collection, centred on a 9.06-carat Fancy Intense Yellow cushion-cut diamond and totalling 57.15 carats in 18-carat yellow and white gold. Probably a £1.5m to £2m necklace.
5. Priyanka Chopra Jones

The gorgeous Priyanka Chopra Jonas wore Bvlgari’s Serpenti Illusio high-jewellery necklace from the forthcoming Eclettica collection, centred on a 14.01-carat antique cushion-cut sapphire from Madagascar. The necklace was reported as being composed of 235 elements and taking more than 1,300 hours to create, with diamonds, emeralds and onyx completing the serpent illusion – she is a Bvlgari global ambassador.
6. Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow wore a one-of-a-kind Tiffany & Co. necklace in platinum and 18-carat yellow gold, set with three oval-shaped Fancy Vivid Yellow diamonds. According to Natural Diamond Council coverage, the centre stone was an internally flawless 2.19-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond, paired with two further 1.51-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow diamonds graded VVS2 and VVS1, some of the highest diamond clarity grades.
7. Shaboozey

Shaboozey wears an 18-carat white-gold, diamond-set Chopard ‘L’Heure du Diamant’ wristwatch costing a cool $45,000 – $60,000.
The brooch appears to be a Vintage Van Cleef & Arpels diamond brooch formed of approximately 16-carat of diamonds. If so, this would be in the region of £250,00 – £400,000 to replace..
He also wore Mikimoto pearl-and-diamond earrings.
8. Elle Fanning

Elle Fanning wore a stunning archival Cartier necklace dating to 1903, notable for its wisteria-like design and old-cut diamond, millegrain-set character. Cartier-history sources connect similar 1903 diamond-and-platinum elements commissioned by Sir Ernest Cassel with transformable formats including necklace and tiara forms. Top maison, Edwardian date, transformable construction, archival status, and now major red-carpet provenance – this necklace would be well in to the millions to replace.
9. Leonardo diCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio wore a Boucheron gold bee brooch. This was a nod to Bee:wild, the pollinator campaign under Re:wild co-founded with Leonardo DiCaprio. This would likely cost tens of thousands of pounds to replace.
