How to Match Kate Middleton’s Style in 2026

January 13, 2026

Renowned for her effortlessly elegant approach to dressing, Kate Middleton consistently masters event-appropriate style, from a blazer and tailored trouser suit to refined countryside jackets and boots to flowing dresses for the most formal events. The Princess will no doubt give us some memorable looks in 2026.

With this in mind, we have worked with Crew Clothing to compile a Kate Middleton-inspired style guide so you can inject her royal aesthetic into your own wardrobe as an ode to Kate during her birthday month.

Countryside Kate

Kate is known for her traditional English countryside style when donning a more casual look. This timeless and effortless charm comes from pairing items such as tweed blazers, wax jackets, layered shirts with knitwear and knee-high boots. With a selection of traditionally British garments, this look is easy to recreate for your 2026 wardrobe.

Back to work Kate

Kate Middleton’s “back to work” looks are largely defined by sharp tailoring and understated polish. She often turns to sleek suits featuring structured blazers and tailored trousers, paired with a soft, flowing blouse in classic neutral tones. This sophisticated aesthetic is perfect for those important business meetings, interviews or work presentations and easily recreated with a few staple pieces.

Formal Event Kate

From flowing evening gowns to refined midi dress styles, Kate’s formal event attire is most often centred around clean silhouettes and classic hues. With the perfect balance between modern dresses and regal tradition, her formal style is easy to emulate with some of Crew Clothing’s most popular dresses this year.
