The Most Instagrammable Destination for Chelsea Flower Show

Enchanting Alice in Wonderland art installations, a delicately floral afternoon tea and pure horticultural hedonism at a Flower Power party. Home House is celebrating the return of the Chelsea Flower Show, and much anticipated reopening of its Garden, in showstopping style this May.

With Chelsea Flower Show just around the corner, Home House has created a world of floral fantasy. In showstopping style, Home House has placed beautiful Alice in Wonderland inspired installations around the entrance and throughout the house, a flower power party, as well as a fresh floral menu created by new Executive Chef Sophie Michell. Home House has also created a special package welcoming non-members to experience the floral fun.

FLORAL ART: WELCOME TO WONDERLAND

Home House’s iconic Georgian townhouse entrances will be transformed into a riot of colour and characters from Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Florists Milioni Di Fiori will wrap the grand front pillars of House 20 with preserved moss in a spectacular spectrum to depict some of Lewis Carroll’s best-loved eccentrics as well as a guest appearance from Home House’s very own mascot, Cedric. The stunning floral installation will be continued inside, centered around one of the most breath-taking tour de forces in European architecture; Robert Adam’s Imperial staircase. An oversized teapot will hang from the bannister at the top of the stairwell from which tea droplets made from beguiling blooms will cascade down the iron railings, all illuminated by the sunlight cast through the glass dome above.

FLOWER POWER PARTY

The pinnacle of Chelsea Flower Show season will send Home House flower power fabulous. Inspired by the swinging sixties and beyond, the horticulturally hedonistic night on Friday 25th May will encapsulate the era’s rebellious, creative and utopian hippie spirit. Expect a selection of funky 60’s and 70’s hits with plenty of modern music in the mix. The experiential event will feature a colourful array of performances and some familiar faces to start the Summer of Love in style. Look forward to Woodstock vibes, California dreaming, Vietnam protests and Isle of Wight festival flavours while the dress code screams Jimmy Hendrix cool, blissed-out bohemian, Beatles psychedelia and floral headbands a-plenty. Guests who arrive before 9.30pm will enjoy a complimentary flower power cocktail along with other floral delights.

Non-members who want to join the Flower Power Party can make a proper night of it with Home House’s room package that includes a ticket to the flower power party of the season and special room rates to aid recovery. Prices are from £297 for a Club room to £527 for one of the luxurious suites.

CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW: THE FULL PACKAGE

Members keen to get to the Chelsea Flower Show itself will be able to enjoy the experience the Home House way with a specially-curated show package. Meet in The Garden at Home House for a light champagne lunch before being driven to the show.  Wander around at your leisure enjoying the newest creations from world-renowned garden designers, plant and flower specialists before enjoying an afternoon tea with TV presenter and radio broadcaster, Nicki Chapman to discuss all things fragrant and floral.

NEW MENUS: FLORAL FLAVOURS

New Executive Chef Sophie Michell has expertly tended her finest seasonal ingredients to cultivate two unique floral menus to be enjoyed by members from Monday 14th- Sunday 27th May. Outside, in the newly-reopened Garden, there will be an exclusive lunch menu which can be enjoyed in this stunning al fresco space.

Dishes will be an edible rainbow of fresh, floral flavours including: Chelsea Flower Show garden salad with baby vegetables; lavender, thyme and honey-glazed lamb rump with potato gratin; courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta and mint with truffled honey; and elderflower panna cotta, apple sorbet and mint croutons.

Meanwhile inside, The Drawing Rooms will host a dedicated floral afternoon tea bursting with colour and a whole flowerbed’s worth of botanical bites, from scones with clotted cream and rose petal jam to violet eclairs and hibiscus macaroons.

If flowers make a house a home, there’s no place like Home House this spring.
