Kylie Jenner Sparks Belly Chain Revival for SS26
Belly chains are officially making a comeback for Spring/Summer 2026! Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Rhianna are leading the way, with a notable spike following Jenner’s recent Instagram posts.

From runways to street style, belly chains are being layered over relaxed, off-duty looks, while personalised and minimalist designs are making the trend accessible for everyday wear.

Kylie Jenner is setting the tone for summer style. The Kylie Cosmetics founder recently shared a sun-soaked Instagram post wearing a white bikini, accented with a silver belly chain featuring a delicate cross charm. The subtle yet striking accessory instantly captured attention, proving how one small piece can elevate a look.
Over Easter weekend, Jenner paired the same chain with a ruffled deep V-neck top and rolled-down white jeans, demonstrating how effortlessly the accessory moves from beachside to everyday outfits.
PRYA’s trend research confirms the surge: Google searches for “belly chain” are up 349% in the past quarter, with a 15% spike following Jenner’s post. Beaded designs are experiencing breakout popularity, while silver chains are climbing.
Celebrity influence remains a driving force behind the revival. Figures including Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Hailey Bieber have championed belly chains, styling them with everything from low-rise jeans to cropped tops. Last year, Bieber turned the accessory into a branding moment with bespoke gold designs for her Rhode beauty line.

Runways have embraced the trend too. Chanel, Dior, and Miu Miu incorporated chain belts and body jewellery into their collections, proving that belly chains are no longer limited to swimwear. Layered for a “second-skin” effect, they complement relaxed off-duty looks – from linen trousers to unbuttoned jeans – creating an effortlessly intentional style.
While modern fashion celebrates the waist as a canvas, belly chains have deep historical roots in South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, where body jewellery long symbolised beauty, femininity, and celebration. Today’s designs – from delicate gold chains to pearl-detailed and personalised options – blend contemporary minimalism with this rich heritage.
“Belly chains are no longer just a nostalgic nod to the early 2000s,” says Arwa Hassan, PRYA’s in-house style director. “Thanks to Kylie and Hailey, they’re officially back – modern, minimalist, and effortlessly luxe. Even the smallest accessories can make a major fashion statement.
“This season, we’re seeing the trend evolve in exciting ways. Minimalist chains are being layered with other jewellery for a modern, understated look, while personalised designs allow wearers to make the accessory uniquely their own.”
