Forget clean girl – Glamoratti is 2026’s biggest fashion trend

Pinterest’s 2026 trend report is here, showcasing some of the biggest trends to look out for next year in beauty, interiors, travel and fashion, and the fashion trend that is set to take over in 2026 is Glamoratti.

Inspired by the glitz and glamour of the 80s, Gen Z and millennials are predicted to trailblaze the trend throughout winter and well into the spring/ summer months. According to Pinterest, searches for ‘80s luxury’ are up 225%, while searches for high collar jacket (+60%) and baggy suit (+90%) are also up.

To help you bring the trend into your own wardrobe, we spoke with Martina Cherry, a stylist at the innovative fashion platform endource, to shared her insight. Speaking on the trend, she says, “After a few years of clean girl trends taking over the high street, it’s no surprise that we’re starting to see the reintroduction of a little glamour. The 80s were all about maximalism, big sleeves and statement jewellery, and aspects of this can be incorporated into everybody’s wardrobe, no matter how out-there or pared-back their personal style is.”

She recommends, “Funnel neck jackets are a great way to add a chic touch to any outfit, and I find a leather version to be the most versatile as they’re great for layering and can be worn throughout every season.”

In winter, just throw it over your favourite knit to stay warm without losing the glam. Add some statement earrings and a pair of oversized sunglasses to really lean into the trend and make you feel effortlessly glitzy.” Martina says.

“Through spring and summer, treat your high-neck jacket as the perfect extra layer for cooler evenings and breezy days. Drape it over a structured dress or an A-line skirt, bonus points if you work in some shoulder pads or dramatic sleeves to channel that ’80s glam”

Accessories, accessories and more accessories

According to Pinterest, the resurgence of the decade of decadence means jewellery is getting chunkier, bolder and golder. Martina adds, “Layering your jewellery is a must when channelling a Glamoratti-inspired look. Swap out the delicate pieces and go for bolder options. Think chunky resin bangles, big geometric earrings, and oversized gold cuffs. When you pair them with sharp, voluminous tailoring like an oversized shirt or a shoulder-padded blazer, the contrast feels really fun and effortless, and honestly works just as well at the office as it does for post-work drinks.

If you don’t want to go all out with the chunky jewellery, a huge pair of sunglasses will do the trick. Investing in one good quality pair will take you through every season.”

Power dressing, but make it playful

Glamoratti is all about taking inspiration from the sharp tailoring that defined 80s luxury. According to Martina, “Tailoring is a big part of the Glamoratti trend, but it definitely isn’t boring. Instead of a plain black blazer, try an oversized navy pinstripe with shoulder pads. It still feels refined, but it has way more personality, and you can always remove the pads if you need a cleaner look for the office or a more formal event.

Have fun with your tailoring by mixing colours and textures, such as soft greens, powdery blues, or even a buttery yellow, to bring some playfulness into your looks. If you’re feeling bold, add a touch of animal print with a bag or a pair of trousers to ramp up the maximal Glamoratti vibes. Don’t feel like you have to be shy with the accessories either, as chunky jewellery and an oversized belt will help to finish off the look perfectly.” She says.
