The Biggest Festival Jewellery Trends of 2025 – Gothic, Boho & 90s Revival

The Biggest Festival Jewellery Trends of 2025 – Gothic, Boho & 90s Revival

April 30, 2025

With both Coachella weekends over for another year, Brits are turning their attention to their own festival plans closer to home, with searches for Glastonbury totalling 903K in the last month alone.

Festivals pave the way for the summer’s biggest fashion trends, providing the perfect opportunity to experiment with statement outfits and jewellery. A recent study has found that two-thirds (68%) of UK festival goers go bolder with their jewellery for the occasion than on a regular day. However, curating the perfect outfit and jewellery combination takes time. Pandora UK, who conducted the study, have discovered that on average, Brits begin planning their outfit 32 days in advance.

To offer some inspiration to festival goers wanting to have fun with their outfits this year, Pandora UK have enlisted their resident jewellery expert Emma Fox, to share her thoughts on the season’s biggest trends with us.

Be bold and playful with festival jewellery & accessories

Emma explains: “It’s often easy to think of jewellery and accessories as the last piece of the puzzle when pulling an outfit together, but if this year’s Coachella is anything to go by, it can be the star of the show.

“The most important consideration when it comes to choosing jewellery for a festival is to just have fun with it, and often, more is more. Festival outfits are all about experimenting and being playful, the occasion is a safe space for everyone to wear whatever they want, away from the practicality of everyday life.

“When deciding on your outfit for an upcoming festival, consider jewellery as early as possible to help bring everything together. Charms and pendants are a great way to tie your jewellery to the theme of your outfit, or consider sculptural pieces as a way to elevate an otherwise simple outfit.”

Emma’s top five jewellery trends for festival season:

  1. Modern Boho

“Festival dressing goes hand in hand with bohemian style, and is a reliable option when deciding what to wear. This year, we’re going to see boho take centre stage in an even bolder way. Boho has been making waves in the fashion space over the past year, with many designers giving the style a modern and grungier twist. Pinterest Predicts even coined Moto Boho a trend to watch for 2025, a style where intricate lace and fringing meet chunky handbags and studs.

“Festival season provides the perfect opportunity to experiment with this elevated trend and add depth to your outfit. For jewellery, we’ll see the trend manifest as chunky chain necklaces, oversized bangles, charms and tassels.” Says Emma.

  1. Gothic Glam

This year’s Coachella has seen gothic glam take centre stage, both for the artists performing and those attending the festival. Lady Gaga sported an eccentric, super-sized, studded red gown during her headline performance, while many celebrity attendees opted for elaborate gold cross necklaces and colourful beads for their Coachella looks.

Emma tells us, “As we head into the rest of festival season, we’re going to see this style of jewellery really take off. Red gemstones will be super popular this year, especially when paired with gold and we’ll see lots of black jewellery and beading.”

  1. Marine Inspired

“One trend that nails the playfulness of attending a music festival is marine jewellery, inspired by oceanic elements like seashells, pearls and starfish. These styles combined with sequins and sparkly outfits create a really fun festival outfit that ties into this trend.

“This might be one for those attending a festival or music event abroad this summer. to add a touch of marine-inspired flair, think deep blue gemstones, starfish pendants and the return of shell necklaces.”

  1. 90s Throwback

“If Coachella is anything to go by, 90s-inspired jewellery will be a huge trend at UK festivals this year. The 90s are one of the most influential decades for jewellery and fashion, as everything was perfectly over the top and emitted personality and joy. This year will see layered gold necklaces, especially pieces with our names on, be a go-to look for festivals.

“Another 90’s trend which we’ll see a lot at festivals this year is beaded bracelets and pearls. These styles were huge back then and brought a childlike joy to an outfit. This year, we’ll see all kinds of colourful pieces take centre stage, from enamel rings to bag and bracelet charms.

“Charm bracelets are a huge part of this trend, as people look to create pieces that are unique to them and reflect their personality. For festival dressing, charms can create the perfect way to tie the style of your outfit into your jewellery, while experimenting with different pieces can make every outfit feel fresh and new.”

  1. Maximalism

“Festival season is all about maximalism, this doesn’t mean purchasing a whole new collection of jewellery, maximalism can be achieved by layering up pieces you already own. Stack rings and bangles to give the illusion of one big statement piece and opt for chunky chain necklaces rather than delicate pendants.

“We’re going to see colourful jewellery gain popularity this year too, from gemstones to colourful beading, this trend is perfect for festivals and can elevate even the most simple outfit.”

For those worried about losing their favourite pieces in the hustle and bustle, here is a quick guide to keeping your jewellery safe at a festival:

  1. Opt for secure fastenings – You’ll likely be moving and dancing a lot at a festival, which could cause bangles and loose-fitting pieces to fly off. Instead, opt for pieces that are well-fitting and can be fastened securely.
  2. Take dupes of special pieces – Finding a lost item at a festival is not going to be easy. For sentimental pieces like family heirlooms or your engagement ring, consider taking a replica or leaving them at home to be safe.
  3. Note down an inventory – Check all clasps are securely fastened before you head to the festival and take photos of yourself wearing each piece so you can keep track of what you have with you.
