Scrunchies are Back and They’re Bigger than Ever

There were many great street style trends that emerged from NYFW but one we are especially excited about is all about your favourite accessory as a kid. That’s right: the scrunchie is back and it’s bigger than ever! And now, just as it was then, it is so much more than just a tie you used to keep your hair out of your face… A scrunchie was a statement maker (especially the bigger, the brighter and more flouncier it got), a bracelet if you needed one in a flash and frankly, a conversation piece. Headbands may have been Blair Waldorf’s signature move, but scrunchies were the hair piece for the everyman or rather, everyman (and you would look pretty dumb with your headband around your wrist.)

After all, if the 90s are back in full swing then we certainly can’t leave our scrunchies out. They were seen all over NYFW on ponytails as well as wrists in bright colours and made of chiffon and satin.
