The Celebrities Really Brought it This Year at Cannes (Especially Elle Fanning)

Ok ok so technically The Cannes Film Festival is supposed to be all about the films but we know it is actually about the fashion. And the celebrities truly brought it this year (we are especially talking to Elle Fanning, who just seems so much more than her sister yes?) Let’s take a look at some of the best looks.

Margot Robbie in Chanel

A tunic is hard for anyone to pull off but if someone was going to do it, it was gonna be Margot Robbie. It also helps that the tunic was made by Chanel. Her look included black sequin genie pants and a white tunic.

Julianne Moore

The Oscar winner never makes a fashion mistake, especially when she wears a gorgeous green. Here she is in a Dior Haute Couture forest-green silk chiffon dress and Chopard jewelry.

Selena Gomez

For her first time at Cannes, Gomez isn’t holding anything back. She nailed her Louis Vuitton belted gown at the premiere of her film The Dead Don’t Die with Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Chloë Sevigny, and Adam Driver. Then she did it again with a conservative but classic navy blue Chanel suit from the label’s Resort 2019 collection.

Winnie Harlow

Model and now actress as well as fashion queen Winnie Harlow made a dramatic entrance in Ralph & Russo at the premiere of “Oh Mercy!” She wore a number of stunning gowns throughout the week.

Shailene Woodley

Woodley took a serious turn with her Dior Haute Couture black cashmere coat with ivory satin lapels over shirt and shorts, supporting the tuxedo trend that is happening now.

Marionne Cotillard

Dressing up shorts (and with bike shorts being a trend right now are we surprised?) seemed to be a theme at this year’s Cannes. Cotillard truly wore what looked like a pair of high-end gym shorts with a crop top and then a gorgeous distressed denim kimono from Balmain to dress it up. Hard to pull off but somehow she did.

Elle Fanning

But the real winner of the entire festival was Elle Fanning who brought it every single time she stepped out. From her perfect travel suit to paired with Louis Vuitton accessories to the sheer violet Ryan Lo dress that was just the right amount of frilly and takes on the pastel trend. And then she started to get really dramatic with her Gucci caped peach dress and her absolutely incredible Valentino floral gown. But then it was back to chic suits in a pastel pink Sandro suit, J. Brand blouse, Fendi sunglasses and Laurence Dacade sandals. And then she totally changed it up with a Barbie pink Vivienne Westwood Couture gown paired with Chopard jewelry.

Fanning was so committed to fashion she actually fainted because her Prada nude tulle dress was so tight. Her look that seems to be getting the most attention however is the Dior and Agent Provocateur nude corset. It was an ode to old Hollywood glamour and boy did she pull it off and the fans were happy.
