One thing that always stays on our radar is the coveted Collection, and now the brand are all set to launch their 6th one. Yes, Collection No.6 is the latest in the award winning collaborative series with Historic Royal Palaces, and fronted by supermodel Arizona Muse, No.6 might possibly be our favourite one yet.

Hobbs No.6 Collection

Hobbs AW16 Collection

Collection No.6 is inspired by the magnificent gardens of Hampton Court Palace, celebrating 300 years of gardening at the Historical site. Hobbs have blended unique fabrics, stunning florals and contemporary silhouettes in homage to the gardens. Channelling four key themes: Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, The Tulip Print, Botanical Inspiration and The Great Vine, Hobbs pull together a stunning collection of soft and bold prints for any occasion. The inspiration goes beyond just the norm of printed dresses and separates, with stunning detailed botanical necklaces and a luxurious lace trench.

The striking Capability print, the exquisite jacquard retelling of the Tulip Print, the Botanical print inspired by the stunning paintings of The Hampton Court Palace Florilegium Society and the Great Vine represented through intricate designs in the finest guipure lace. Each of these are a fluid portrayal of the luxurious feel that the Hampton Court Palace Gardens hold, and prove that even after 300 years it is still as relevant as ever. Each piece can be worn on its own, or mix and matched with other details from the Collection, so the Great Vine Shell Top looks superb with the Tulip Border Skirt, or the Botanical Swing Sweater with the Capability trousers adds a unique dimension of light and shade to the glorious florals.

Collection No.6 is a feast of lavish textures in the form of exquisite jacquards, luxurious guipure lace and feather light silks. It covers everything from light sweaters for every day, to the incredible Capability Co-ord for weekend occasion wear. One of the standout pieces for us here at YCB is the Great Vine Lace Coat, a piece worthy of a spot in our wardrobes! In subtle navy, the lace does all the talking and brings the theme right into the 21st Century, so the coat works just as well with jeans and breton tee as it does with the other pieces from the collection. Add red lip and you’re good to go! This is a piece we expect to see doing the rounds at Fashion Month for sure.

This Dolce-esque collection makes us want to pack it all in our suitcase and escape to warmer climes, but is just as appropriate for the UK. There is no better way to add a touch of brightness to your working day than with a statement Capability heel, or the Scarf tied to your favourite bag or as a headband. There are multiple ways to wear the collection and with Hobbs you carry that little bit of heritage with you everywhere you go. After the award winning success of the previous 5 collections, it’s safe to say No.6 is the best yet so you really don’t want to miss this one!
