Phillip Lim X Target

Philip Lim X Target

Phillip Liam Target Collaboration

It looks like our dreams are finally coming true! In September, Phillip Lim will be joining the exclusive club of designers who have collaborated with Target, which already includes Zac Posen, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, and most recently, Kate Young. Phillip Lim, whose fans include Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley, will be working with Target to design a new line consisting of over 100 pieces for the modern, sophisticated woman (Don’t worry, guys. There will be some menswear too!). The collection will feature functional, yet fashionable apparel and accessories, along with an assortment of bags, footwear and travel accessories for women on the go.

“One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire- one that is cool and chic but still very accessible,” says designer Phillip Lim.

Target chose Phillip Lim because he shares the same vision of democratizing fashion. The designer said that Target has the resources to do what they do at Phillip Lim, but on a larger scale, enabling women everywhere to get Phillip Lim’s elegant and youthful look. This collaboration is perfect for making affordable and fashionable products accessible to all women. While the prices range from $19.99-$299.99, most of the collection will be available for under $49.99.

Phillip Lim described this collection as having an aesthetic of “classic, but with a sense of madness.” The line will feature basic prints and neutral tones, in a variety of materials, including chiffon, real leather and jersey. Target wanted Phillip Lim to create beautifully tailored and versatile pieces that every woman could add to her closet. Lim designed this collection with a multi-faceted, “always on the go” woman in mind. He wanted to help women create a wardrobe with pieces that can work 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

The collection will be released in Target stores on September 15, 2013. Mark your calendar, because we know this collection is going to sell out fast!
