We remember her from David Fincher’s captivating movie ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ and as the face of Vogue’s November 2012 cover. The photographer, David Sims, also captured the rising star’s classically beautiful face and bone structure in a fashion spread in the glossy magazine. Here, she is seen with long, flowing hair, wearing the likes of Helmut Lang, Calvin Klein and McQueen.

On multiple occasions, the actress has stated that she is not fond of the whole fashion scene, red carpets, photo shoots and the various other sartorial aspects that come with her job.

Rooney Mara is a true chameleon, and above all, a genuinely talented person. In the February issue of Vogue, the starlet said: “It’s been very strange, jumping from one character to the next.” She played Lisbeth Salander in ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, earning herself a nomination as the Best Actress at the 2012 Oscars.

Her recent movie ‘Aint Them Bodies Saints‘ is a love story set in 1970s Texas, where she plays alongside Casey Affleck. The movie premiered at Sundance Film Festival in Utah last week. Rooney will also be appearing in the upcoming thriller ‘Side Effects‘ with Channing Tatum.

It has additionally been announced that Rooney will be co-hosting the Met Gala this year.
