Three Businesses That Tailor their Services to Women

Despite recent progress, it is still sadly unsurprising that women can often feel overlooked. Not necessarily deliberately ignored, but simply forgotten about.

Not sure what we mean? If you’ve ever noticed that you seem to be cold in the office when men around you seem to be perfectly comfortable, that’s because most office climate controls are based around the resting metabolic rate of a 40-year-old man. 28-year old women? Unfortunately, you simply weren’t considered when the system was designed. How about items being too high on the shelf in supermarkets? Tesco isn’t trying to stop you from buying that particular brand of cereal, it’s just that the shelves were designed by a man who put products at his eye level rather than yours.

The list of times where women are overlooked could go on and on, but luckily there are businesses that have done the exact opposite of this and have tailored their offerings specifically to cater to women.

Bumble

We’ve all heard dating app horror stories, with terrible opening lines and unwanted messages being the norm, but Bumble decided to do something to put women back in control of the dating scene. Users can swipe left to reject, or right to say yes to a potential date. If both parties swipe right, then it’s a match! With same-sex matches, anybody can start the conversation, but with heterosexual matches, only the woman can send the first message! This means that if you have second thoughts, you won’t receive a stream of messages demanding your response, and if after 24 hours you still haven’t sent a message, then your match disappears.

888 Ladies

Online casinos and iGaming are considered accessible to any gender; however, 888 Ladies have gone out of their way to go the extra mile and make online bingo more attractive to women. Playing heavily on the social aspect, 888 Ladies is built around their chat rooms which allow you to meet and talk to like-minded ladies, make some friends, and maybe even win a few games. There are many bingo sites out there, but if you aren’t sure where to begin, sites like Betpal provide guidance such as their 888 Ladies review and bonuses page where you can learn more about individual companies and what to expect from them.

All by MAMA

When it comes to business, women should stick together and support each other, and celebrate every woman’s success. That’s what All by MAMA believe anyway. They’re one of a number of business networking groups set up by women, for women, designed to help working mums become their own boss. They provide courses, and seminars to help educate women who want to follow their passions and make a career out of it. They also know that being your own boss can be stressful and lonely. And that’s why they organise a number of monthly meetups for their members, complete with plenty of tea coffee.

While there is still work to be done, it’s encouraging to see many businesses working to tailor their offerings towards the female demographic.
