1. Vibrant nails – 1,900%

“Summer is the ideal time to go bold with your nails. Primary shades like yellow, red and blue are having a major nail moment this year, as they can be worn solo or as part of funky, unique patterns that instantly elevate any festival outfit or poolside look.
“Vibrant nails tap into the ‘dopamine dressing’ trend that promotes the idea of injecting bold colours and tones into your everyday look, and this is a super simple way of doing that.” Says Maria.
2. Ice cream nails – 1,150%

Maria tells YCB, “Sweet, playful, and oh-so-tasty, ice cream nails are serving up major inspiration this summer. Whether you go literal with ice cream cone designs with sprinkles and drippy toppings, or take a more subtle approach with soft, creamy pastels that mimic your favourite scoop, from pistachio greens, cool mint, or vanilla creams.
“This trend is as versatile as it is fun and brings a fresh, nostalgic vibe to your summer manicure that’s perfect for anything from a garden party to a beach getaway.”
3. Beach-inspired nails – 567%

“Think shells, waves, sunsets, and sandy nude tones. Beach-inspired nails are huge right now, especially as people turn to more playful ways to reflect the summer season in their nail art.
“One of the best things about this trend is how versatile it is. Designs can be as detailed or subtle as you like. You can go all out with textured 3D elements like shell charms, gold foil to mimic sunlight or tiny pearl accents for a ‘mermaidcore’ feel.
“Or you can keep it understated with soft blue, green or pink gradients that mirror the sea or a sunset. It’s the perfect way to carry a bit of beach energy with you, even if you’re not going abroad this summer.”
4. Coral nails – 535%

Maria says, “Coral is a great in-between colour, sitting between pink and orange, and it complements every skin tone beautifully. It’s a timeless summer shade that instantly gives a fresh, tropical feel without being too overpowering.
“It’s another versatile option that could be worn as a gloss for a clean look or matte to give a more modern edge. If you want to add a bit more glamour or luxe, pair it with gold foil details or metallic tips.”
5. Neon nails – 400%

“It seems bold nail colours are leading the trends this year, but neon nails are the boldest of all. They’re high energy and designed to stand out. Unlike the vibrant and coral trends, which have a slight softness and warmth to them, neon shades are fluorescent and almost electric in appearance.
“Neon nails are statement colours and intentionally intense, making them an ideal choice for a music festival or summer party to watch them glow under UV lights. You could go all out with a full neon manicure, or use them as an accent in nail art for a pop of brightness.”
6. Confetti nails – 376%

“Confetti nails, also known as “dot” or “splatter” nails, are a fun throwback trend that taps into the Y2K revival that has been popular in the beauty industry recently. The trend can range from micro-glitter and holographic flecks to multicoloured polka dots that resemble party confetti.” Maria says.
“What makes this trend so versatile is how customisable you can make it. You can go all out with sparkles or polka dots across every nail or keep it subtle with a few scattered flecks as accents on just a few nails. It’s the perfect way of adding a touch of celebration to your manicure, ideal for any big events you might have coming up this summer.”
7. Peach nails – 365%

“If you’re not a huge lover of statement or bold nails and want a more subtle option, peach is an ideal choice. With so many variations, peach nails can work for any look or occasion, from beach holidays to summer weddings.
“What makes peach such a versatile and popular shade is that it pairs beautifully with natural textures, sun-kissed skin and gold jewellery. If you want some unique ways to incorporate peach into your manicure, you could opt for an ombré effect or a glaze for added sparkle.”
8. Pastel French tips – 317%

Maria recommends, “A summer twist on the classic French manicure is opting for pastel tips instead of standard white. They add a subtle pop of colour and can be tailored to your preference; think mint, lilac, or baby blue.
“If you can’t decide on just one colour, you can mix and match each nail to add a bit more fun to your manicure. They are another great option if you’re looking for something summery without making too much of a statement.”
9. Fruit nails – 245%

“As we’ve seen with the peach nail trend, fruit-inspired manicures are a summer favourite. But this year, the spotlight is on playful fruit nail art, with designs featuring scattered mini fruit taking off in a big way.
“These vibrant, fun looks include tiny cherries, watermelons or lemons, either painted by hand or applied as decals. If you want to create a personal twist on the trend, match the fruit to your upcoming holiday destination, such as lemons for Italy or oranges for Spain.” Maria comments.
10. Pearlescent nails – 96%

“Pearlescent nails offer a dreamy, iridescent finish that’s soft yet striking. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a brighter touch to your usual manicure this summer, as they catch the light beautifully and give your nails that glazed, almost mermaid-like sheen.
“You can either go classic with a white pearl finish, or if you want to inject more colour for summer, you can trade this out for a baby blue, pink or green tint.” Maria concludes.
