Time For a ‘DECHOX’ to Raise Money For the British Heart Foundation

This February, the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is challenging the nation to give up chocolate and raise money for life saving research into heart and circulatory disease, which causes more than a quarter (26 per cent) of all deaths in the UK.

So to kick off the new year on a healthy note, challenge yourself to give up chocolate for the entire month February. Whether you’re an undercover chocolate eater, a crafty nibbler or a full-on midnight fridge raider, start the New Year right and test your willpower for a worthwhile cause!

You could be on a mission to show your charitable side or get that little bit healthier for 2019. Or you could be a self-confessed chocoholic who’s looking to test your willpower and challenge yourself to a chocolate-free month. Whatever your motivation, you’ll be helping to improve your own heart health and fund research to save lives.

In 2018, over 19,000 DECHOXERS took part, raising an incredible £1.1 million for the BHF’s life saving research. The charity is now calling on even more of you to get involved in February 2019. Each year, around 160,000 lives are cut short by heart and circulatory disease – that’s one person every three minutes. By joining the thousands of other DECHOX champions you can help keep more hearts beating and blood flowing.

So put down that chocolate bar and step away from the chocolate biscuits this February and join DECHOX! Sign up now at www.bhf.org.uk/dechox
