Why These CBD Teas Should Become a Part of Your Daily Routine

CBD is a term you may have heard thrown around a lot recently, whether it’s on social media, in the newspapers or in day-to-day conversation. It’s a hot topic at the moment, and the YCB team were intrigued to find out more about CBD and the suggested improvements it can have on overall health as well as specific conditions such as nausea and anxiety.

So first up, let’s start with what CBD actually is. CBD is the molecule Cannabidiol, it is one of over 100 special compounds called cannabinoids found in Cannabis Sativa and hemp. The Endocannabinoid or ‘ECS’ system (a complex network of neurotransmitters and special receptor sites found in the brain) was only discovered in the 1990s and has a crucial function, which is to seek homeostasis and balance for our body and mind.

Almost all of our everyday biological functions are in fact regulated by the Endocannabinoid system, this includes sleep, appetite, our immune system, pain and mood.

You could say it’s really rather important!

CBD supplements can support our endocannabinoid system to function optimally and there are various ways in which you can take these, whether it’s through oils, tea, sprays, paste or creams. You will find that the CBD content varies from product to product, and the stronger the content the more effect it will have. If you’re just starting out with CBD, it’s advised to begin with a ‘Maintain’ 4% tea, cream or oil from a reputable CBD retailer such as Amma Life.

In the office we’ve been testing out the Amma Life CBD Tea which uses the finest legal Cannabis Sativa leaves, and is grown by specialist farmers in Europe without the use of pesticides. Simply add 1 teabag per cup of freshly boiled water, brew for up to 10 minutes and if you wish you can add lemon or honey for extra flavour.

We were keen to learn more about how CBD can support our daily function and any positive effects it may have on our health and wellbeing.

“Taken regularly it can help to support well-being and maintain optimal health. Amma Life CBD products are only available for sale in the U.K. and EU countries. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease or illness”

First up, let’s talk about the taste, it’s a light floral which is neither offensive nor delicious but with the addition of fresh lemon we can definitely get on board. This tea isn’t designed to taste amazing, it’s designed to support everyday health and help you function better.

Our features editor and guinea pig has been drinking the Amma Life CBD tea with breakfast for almost two weeks and reports an improvement in her sleep, anxiety and overall mood.

Whilst we cannot say if this will have the same effect for other individuals we can certainly say we’re impressed with the effects of the CBD tea so far, so much so said features editor has ordered another box to continue with the tea and hopes that the increased sleep will stick around!

Anxiety and stress affects many of us, and interestingly, CBD has been known to counteract the feelings of anxiety. It’s thought to alter the body’s serotonin signals, a chemical which plays a role in our mental health and can trigger depression, anxiety and low moods.

There are many other benefits of CBD and we can’t believe we didn’t discover this little miracle product sooner!

You can purchase a range of CBD products including teas, oils and sprays at ammalife.co.uk. Got a question about CBD? Their FAQ’s page might help!
