From Kuala Lumpur To Malacca And The Majestic Malacca

The Majestic Malacca

If you didn’t already know, about a month ago, Your Coffee Break was invited for a 5-day holiday in the historic and grand country of Malaysia; a country of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural diversity, exciting festivals, and delicious cuisine. For those of you who haven’t been to Malaysia yet, we’ve got you covered on multiple beautiful Malaysian cities and hotels! You are welcome.

After the first and impressive experience at Malaysia’s lively capital, Kuala Lumpur, and our luxurious stay at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, we were excited for our next adventure to see the next Malaysian city. The second stop on the exciting itinerary, with MAS Holidays, was the colourful city of Malacca. Malacca is located in southern region of Malaysia and approximately 150 km south of Kuala Lumpur. Subjected to Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, Indian, British and Malay influences, Malacca today reflects the essence of Malaysian historic architecture, diverse lifestyles, and eclectic food.

The Majestic Malacca Our Your Coffee Break team instantly fell into a deep sense of tranquility when we first saw The Majestic Malacca’s exterior, designed in the British colonial style. We knew this five-star hotel would be unique and memorable all its own. Originally a mansion dating back to the 1920’s, the hotel over time became a mix of the old and new world. The hotel integrated old with new and modern with historic, fitting 54 spacious rooms and luxurious suits inside. The Majestic Malacca honoured its past and brought modern convenience to its guests.

The luxurious guest suites were the epiphany of serenity, designed with original porcelain flooring, rich teakwood fittings, and elaborate artwork and antiques. We checked into the Majestic Suites and Tranquerah Suites; rooms of elegance, tradition and modernism, each with its own comfortable sitting room and powder room. We felt like royalty living in a chalet up in the mountains! Soft, dreamy light engulfed the room through the yellow, silk curtains. Sleep never looked so tempting when we saw the four dark, teakwood poster bed covered in soft cotton sheets. The room partition, which separated the bathroom and bedroom, injected an Asian feel to the room (adding even more to the eclecticism of it all!)  With amazing panoramic views over-looking the Malacca River and the traditional Malay village, and savory Nyonya cuisine, YCB knew this would be an amazing stay.

Spa Village The Majestic MalaccaThe Spa Village Malacca was every girl’s dream and definitely a hotspot for all its guests! This hotel sure knows how to spoil its guests! According to word of mouth, it’s the world’s only spa to base its therapies on healing techniques from traditional Baba-Nyonya and Peranakan cultures (mixture of Chinese and Malay influences)! The spa was located on the first two floors of Majestic Malacca’s new wing. Spa Village Malacca’s therapists and remedies provided YCB’s team with the peaceful rejuvenation and boost of energy that we all needed by soothing the skin, easing tight muscles, and alleviating physical and mental stresses of every day troubles. Along with the hotel’s stocked library, swimming pool and fully equipped gym—this was icing on the cake!

Even though Malaysia is a country of endless options for overindulgence, it is safe to say that this hotel is a luxe staycation and the ultimate experience for people coming to visit Malaysia and Malacca!
