Steal Kate’s Style: A Duchess-Worthy Look For a Royal Occasion

The Duchess of Cambridge stole our hearts long ago with her classic looks like a modern day Diana. With each passing year her style has grown into an iconic look that women all over the world desire to emulate. From the luscious bouncy blow dry down to the perfect nude heel, Kate Middleton is the epitome of a lady and a style icon for women everywhere. She’s now even inspiring us with how to dress our future children here at the YCB offices; we may not have future kings or queens but we will have some very well-dressed children thanks to Kate.

As is to be expected, Kate continued her winning streak wearing a stunning Alexander McQueen dress to attend Royal Ascot last week. The lace high neck number was the perfect choice for the occasion and she looked just beautiful.

Sarah Burton shows just how far the fashion house has come, maintaining Lee McQueen’s off-kilter aesthetic but also proving her royal credibility with pieces such as this one – let’s not forget the iconic wedding dress also. Nonetheless, most of us do not have a McQueen budget, but that doesn’t mean we can’t snag Kate’s style somewhere else.

Thanks to Katie Piper’s new collaboration with WantThatTrend.com you can be a copy-Kate in style! Katie Piper has worked with the Want That Trent team to curate a 36 piece collection that is as much trend led as it is true to Katie’s own personal style. The collection consists of blush tones, lace and ruffle details and suitably stylish lengths to cater for all occasions, from the races to weddings and christenings.

Each piece was carefully selected by Katie and the Want That Trend team to ensure a versatile mix of pretty & flattering styles at affordable prices. What’s more, the majority of the collection is available in sizes 6-24, allowing all women the opportunity to look great and feel confident in their fashion choices.

Our favourite piece is of course, the White Crochet Belted Skater which, at £42 is an absolute steal and is an incredibly close match to Kate’s Alexander McQueen number. We’re also partial to pink – it definitely makes the boys wink, even blush! The 3/4 Pink Crochet Dress is on our wish list for summer garden parties and more; plus at £39.95 the cost per wear means it basically pays for itself, right? Fashion mathematics is our kind of mental arithmetic.

With Katie’s input, each piece is of an exceptionally high quality, so you can be sure that you’re not going to look like Kate for only a day before the thread unravels. This collaboration is much better than typical celebrity team ups with brands because it clearly has Katie’s DNA in it. When working on a collaboration it’s vital to include your personal style and be as hands on as possible and that’s exactly what Katie has done working with Want That Trend.

Katie Piper and WantThatTrend.com’s collection is out now, and with 36 pieces to choose from you might have to get in line to get hold of your favourite pieces! We’ll be snapping up that K-Middy dress first! What about you?
