Inject some feminine luxury into your occasion edit with Jessica Choay, the effortlessly-chic Parisian designer with an Italian flair for pure indulgence, grace and undeniable elegance. Here you’ll find glamorous gowns, beautiful dresses and billowing blouses aplenty that will make your heart race.
Girlie yet sophisticated, Jessica’s style is the very definition of relaxed tailoring. Best described as lavish but understated, the lust-have label invites you into a world of pure seduction with sensual deigns that are delicate, demure and alluring. She’s inspired by every woman’s beauty and captivates this in her collections.
We’ve been seduced by these diffident-yet-devious pieces where classy designs mingle with provocative details for a flirty, but reserved, look. The brand is all about being stripped back to the basics with timeless silhouettes and classic nudes, black and white palettes.
Parisian born, Jessica’s successful fashion career began with a romantic trip to Italy. Completely falling in love with the country’s beauty, she decided to stay and study at the European Institute of Design in Milan, the catwalk capital. After graduating, she went on to work for some of the biggest fashion houses in the business, including world-famous Italian designer, Dolce & Gabbana.
Jessica then began to sell her own pieces from a small atelier in Milan. Her unique style became increasingly popular with private buyers and soon her clientele were demanding more. This led to the successful launch of her self-named label in 2011, which later saw her brand relocate to the fashion-forward city of London, but Jessica still credits traveling as her main design inspiration.
Staying true to her roots, Jessica sources the finest silks from Lake Como and lustrous lace from Calais, and it is this fabulous fusion of fabrics that has made her collections really shine. The brand is the perfect blend of Italian high glamour and French chic, and we can’t get enough!
The SS17 ‘Luscious Restraints’ line is whimsical and full of angelic appeal with white flowing pieces, while also daring with dark, dramatic dresses, letting you reflect your mood and personality. This range is all about playing a cheeky game of reveal and conceal, drawing upon the idea of restraints wrapped around the body, with sheer panels, lace inserts and mesh detail exposing just the right amount of skin. Luscious Restraints is timeless, decadent and oh-so lavish – think femme fatale with a heavy dose of innocence.
The Bridal Capsule Collection is a stunning ready-to-wear range for brides who prefer beautifully simple bohemian styles, instead of heavily-structured, big and flouncy silhouettes. A-line slip dresses skim your frame, while lingerie-as-outerwear inspires her lacy bralette bodices. A flash of leg from a split to the skirt, or a glimpse of the waist from a sheer panel, transform these traditional, could-be-vintage designs into something really special and unique that will have every guest in awe as you walk the aisle.
The FW17 collection ‘Sultry Nights’ draws out your mysterious side in midnight noir and ravishing red. Pyjama-style pants, draped kimonos and wrap dresses flatter the figure with flared, fluid and flowing silhouettes. See-through fabrics, sexy thigh-grazing splits and plunging necklines dial up the drama, making this line perfect for after-dark affairs and staying up all night.
We at YCB are currently coveting these swoon-worthy looks from each of the collections:
This billowing blouse-style dress is the epitome of easy elegance. Brimming with bohemian vibes, we love the gorgeous, gypsy-inspired to-the-floor flowing skirt, heavenly white colourway and sexy unbuttoned neckline that adds a flirty flash to this innocent look.
Be proud of your body and femininity in this stunning twist on a trouser suit. A beautiful lace bralette teamed with high-waisted wide-leg pants bares a glimpse of your narrowest part, while a leg split plays peak-a-boo with your admirer.
The Bridal Collection
Make sure you have the wedding of your dreams in this exquisite bridal gown. Eternally elegant, we love the sumptuous silk skirt, intricate lace bodice and delicate sheer panels, while a leg split makes this traditional style feel modern.
A ladylike take on androgynous tailoring, this silky-smooth top wraps around your assets beautifully and the wide-leg trouser is full of feminine flair.
A little bit risqué, this LBD is for the bold with a plunging, see-through lace neckline that transforms this simple shift design.
