Let’s raise a glass of festive fizz and head over to Mania Mia!
They may be known by industry insiders as Fulham’s best kept secret but as a fashion editor, I find it impossible not to shout from the rooftop about Mania Mia; a wonderful haven of chic & contemporary garments & accessories from some of our favourite independent designers.
Set up by sisters-in-law Katya Shestakova and Anoosheh Omidi, the idea behind the boutique sparked from their shared passion for fashion and art, perfectly intertwined under one roof. Mania Mia, Italian for “my madness”, has been unstoppable ever since, dressing Chelsea’s elite, including the fashionable Phoebe Lettice & Louise Thompson from “Made in Chelsea”. The boutique stocks an assortment of global independent designers, including Danilo Gabrielli, Tata Naka & The Hip Tee alongside homegrown talent such as Your Coffee Break favourite, Charlotte Taylor.
The two girls have a great eye for striking cuts and interesting new pieces, providing a unique edit of styles made even more desirable by many of their designers being exclusive to Mania Mia. Our favourite pieces include this gorgeous printed Pea Coat and leather paneled pencil skirt; the contrast of fabrics give it an edge and the navy hue is a refreshing alternative to black.
Offering more than your average London boutique, Mania Mia is a hub of social activity, regularly holding events such as art exhibitions, live music and “Meet the Maker”, where shoppers are lucky enough to meet the designers stocked in the boutique for an evening of styling tips.
Today, we’re giving Your Coffee Break readers the inside scoop on the must attend events Mania Mia is hosting this season. The boutique is hosting a series of festive centric “Meet the Maker” events, including “Make your own Christmas cards” with the esteemed artist David Waller and a wonderful session with award winning designer Amma Gyan demonstrating the processes and techniques behind her hand made leather jewellery and accessories.

The run of festive events will be rounded up with a night of drinks & exquisite live music at Mania Mia’s annual Christmas Party on December 18th. With music from flutist Ann Allen, jazz pianist Mike Munro and a Christmas Choir, it’s set to be a fabulous night.
