The World is Freaking Out Because the Old Taylor Can’t Come to the Phone Right Now

Never in our wildest dreams did we think the shade could be any more obvious. Kidding. Taylor Swift THREW that shade in her most anticipated new single, out today called “Look What You Made Me Do,” which is the first single off of her 6th album Reputation, to be released on November 10th.

This is the first single Taylor has released in about three years, and to be honest, the world is shook. From her Instagram makeover to say the least, she released a video a day pertaining to a snake kind of figure, which immediately made us think and know that this song would be epic. The slithering serpent gave the shade away and the anticipation got greater and greater as the week went on when….. Swift released the title and cover art for her single. We have to applaud this release because it was all on Instagram. The media went on to try and decipher fan theories of her song and album release, but again, we were all wrong.

In Taylor fashion, the cover art for this was newspaper inspired and gave us a peak into what to expect for the rest of the album.

Indeed, this album is aimed at the media based on Swift’s single’s shady remarks, but we are not complaining because this is what the world has been waiting for FOREVER. Kim K, Katy Perry and all the others are not mentioned in the song, but all the Swifties out there are deciphering each and every lyric and we are about to break some of the most important lyrics down for you. Grab a cup of coffee and read this morning’s paper.

Let’s see. She opens with this killer first couple of lines to make a point.

“I don’t like your little games, don’t like your tilted stage, the role you make me play, like a fool, no, I don’t like you.”

If anyone remembers (we all do), Kanye West’s tour last year had a tilted stage and threw some shade…. in his song “Famous,” where we all remember seeing Taylor Swift’s “appearance” in his music video and on Kim K’s snap story. Don’t think Taylor liked being exposed on Kim’s snap story but she got smarter and harder in the nick of time because now her single is out for everyone to hear and we know that Kanye is ready and willing to respond.

“The world moves on, another day, another drama, drama….” YES we know Taylor; Drama before this single and drama after the release. And to note, most importantly, at this point in the song, the beat drops into a dark and very very dramatic beat. There is already so much buzz in less than 12 hours from this track and there is no stopping Swift now.

Tay reiterates now that all she thinks about is karma and to be honest, so do I. SHADE-CENTRAL. This track is HOT and very different from the her past albums but we aren’t hating hating hating it.

The old Taylor is dead, but all rise for Taylor Swift 2.0. We can’t wait for the music video for this because based on the sneak peak that aired today on Good Morning America, it’s going to be amazing. Taylor Swifts most anticipated album of the year, Reputation is available for pre-order now and will be released on November 10th. Swift is shaking off all the hate this fall, and we are super stoked.

You go T-Swift, and now we all know that we don’t want to be listed on your list of names in red, underlined.
