As we finally descend out of winter and into summer, our social lives start to pick up, less time for Netflix and more time for socialising with actual humans, rather than keeping up to date with the current series you’re watching. But seriously, how good was The Night Manager?!
With summertime comes plenty of events, or as we like to call them ‘excuses to buy a brand new outfit’. Weddings, christenings, engagement parties, you name it, the summer is full of social events and what would be the harm in a little early preparation? It’s time to shave your legs (let’s face it, we all get a little slack over winter right?), top up your pins with a little tanning moisturiser and maybe even book in for a relaxing spa afternoon with your best friend to kick the summer off just nicely. Ok, that last one might not be totally necessary but who doesn’t love a day at the spa?
This week we’ve been doing lots of mental outfit planning for the upcoming months, and seems as some of us in the team already have a few wedding invites through the letterbox, we’ve been keeping our fashion eyes out for some perfect summer dressing inspiration.
One look that didn’t pass us by is the ever beautiful Miranda Kerr (seriously, how can she be so perfect?!) in a gorgeous spring worthy shade of pastel yellow. The dress is seriously swoon worthy stuff, the lace detailing combined with the flattering fit and contemporary feel pretty much has it all.
And it gets even better, as you won’t need to re-mortgage your flat to afford this one! Whilst the brand itself, Self Portrait is on the higher end of the pricing scale, it isn’t totally out-of-reach designer pricing which we usually find the celebs dresses to be (cue anger and upset). And do you want us to let you in on a little secret? This look could be yours for just £50.
Yes just fifty British pounds!
Available through Chic by Choice, you can actually hire this exact style of dress for a mere £50, making it the perfect option for any upcoming garden parties or events. Not only will your bank account love you for it, you’ll also look ah-mazing. Trust us!
If you seriously can’t resist calling this little baby yours then you can also purchase it for £240. Yes it’s a slightly pricier option but it’s a timeless dress that you can certainly get plenty of wear out of. Whilst we adore the pastel yellow, the dress is also available in a gorgeous dusty pink and lilac.
