Stars Stun At The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards

Stars stun at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards

Women everywhere rejoice! Awards season has officially begun. Which means every few weeks we will be able to indulge in the lavish lives of celebrities — the glamorous parties, sexy dates, gorgeous fashion and Leonardo DiCaprio in a tuxedo. If the Golden Globes are any indication, it’s safe to say that sequins and risk-taking are going to be very hot this season.

Best dressed The 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Even while pregnant, Olivia Wilde stunned in an emerald green, long sleeved Gucci gown. Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves rocked a similar sequined dress by Dolce & Gabbana, but she opted for a more subdued black. The always-beautiful Kate Beckinsale looked amazing in a silver mermaid-style gown by Zuhair Murad. The intricate design and structure made her elaborate dress even more stunning. Elisabeth Moss donned a gorgeous art-deco inspired dress with red and black sequins in a pattern that would have made even Daisy Buchanan jealous. Her triangle dangly earrings added an edgy touch.

The 2014 Golden Globe attendees also decided to take some risks. We love how Julia Roberts wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown with the white button-up underneath. The look was unique, brave and age-appropriate. Zoe Saldana wore a gown specifically designed for her by her friend Prabal Gurung (must be nice, right?). And although the look was a little intense, her simple accessories kept her look from being too overwhelming.

The 2014 Golden Globe Awards - Best Dressed

Lupita Nyong’o, nominated for her role in 12 Years as a Slave, stole the show in a beautifully simple red Ralph Lauren gown with a cape. The look was unexpected, fun and wonderfully flattering on her gorgeous complexion. Emma Watson also decided to shake things up by wearing a very modern design from Dior, which revealed a pair of pants when she turned around.

Other honorable mentions include Sophia Vergara in Zac Posen, Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera, Jennifer Lawrence in Dior and Jessica Chastain in Givenchy.

We at Your Coffee Break can’t wait to see what the stars will wear at the Grammy’s in 2 weeks!
