KARL LAGERFELD and ModelCo Launch First Beauty Range

Celebrated fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld who works with the likes of Chanel and FENDI is making his foray into the world of beauty with the KARL LAGERFELD + ModelCo colour cosmetics collection.

The KARL LAGERFELD + ModelCo partnership combines the iconic Australian beauty brand’s high-quality formulas and innovative, technical packaging with fashion legend KARL LAGERFELD’s sophisticated, modern and cool artistic aesthetic. Channelling the theme of “Illuminated Beauty” the collection includes more than 50 beauty products for face, eyes and lips, plus accessories.

To mark the launch, a mob of 100 Karl Beauty Butlers stormed the streets of Paris while dressed in custom designed helmets in the shape of a LIP LIGHT Lip Gloss, the hero product of the collection.

The Beauty Butlers made their way through iconic locations in Paris including the Eiffel Tower, Tuileries, Champs-Elysées, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Montparnasse and Palais de Tokyo creating beauty history in a guerrilla-style flash mob. After the final performance at Place Vendome, high profile guests attended the official launch party at Hotel D’Evreux, including Shelley Sullivan, CEO and Founder of ModelCo and Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld.

The collection campaign features British supermodel Stella Maxwell alongside an animated, 3D character of Karl Lagerfeld. The limited edition products will have one stock drop only and will be available through KARL LAGERFELD stores, MODELCO.COM and key exclusive retailers: Nordstrom (US), Douglas, Nocibe, Cult Beauty and Galeries Lafayette (Europe), and at selected retailers in the Middle East.
