Marks and Spencer Set to Change the Face of High Street Beauty?

High street giant Marks and Spencer is set to reform its in-store beauty concept with the launch of new ‘Your Beauty’ makeup halls.

Titled ‘Your Beauty’: The Best of Nature & Science, the halls will stock multi-branded products including 4 own product lines such as Limited and Autograph collections, as well as up to 30 independent brands from all over the world- many of which will be making their UK retail debut- including Roger & Gallet from France and Dr. Murad from the U.S.

The beauty halls will have 500 plus advisors, with six months training on the products who will be on hand to help customers. What’s more, the advisors won’t work on commission, so unlike other department stores, you won’t feel pressured into a purchase by a pushy sales assistant. Customers will also be able to make use of the stores interactive screens, enabling them to upload a photograph and test out different shades of makeup virtually.

The first beauty hall was opened in London’s Kensington High Street store this summer and is an amazing shopping experience- think clean, white, well-lit shelves with detailed descriptions of each product, advising you on what works best for every possible skin-type. Marks & Spencer plans to open 126 halls nationwide, but for those of you who can’t wait to test out this new shopping experience, the products are also available online now at marksandspencer.com
